STATUS: Qatija will be staying with us ~
Qatija is pronounced KAH-tee-yah.
It is a Russin name meaning "Pure"
Blue tortie point and white,
Light Brush Coat
Peterbald - Future Queen
Qatija is a beautiful kitten whose personality is a lovely as she ~
She is extremely outgoing, and people oriented. She loves to be with us, all the time!
"Blue tortie point and white" basically means that she looks like a blue eyed calico, in simple terms. She was born completley white, and her color will continue to become more dark as she gets a little older. At the time of this photo update (July '09), she has a light brush coat (which she may still lose!), and her cream coloring is becoming more clearly visible.

...it is amazing what lighting can do!
See the fuzz at the beidge of her nose?
photo 10/22/2009
...take away the ability to see her pretty blue eyes by changing the lighting, and you can actually see her profile ;)
photo 10/22/2009
and then add a 9-year-old to pet her, and she'll show off her long legs :)

Or a blue tortie point with white.

In 'real life', her blue patches are quite easy to see. I am sure that I will have plenty of opportunities to hone my skills at capturing her color more effectively as she gets a little older ;)

Quin is on the far left, then Que, and Qatija on the right. Look closely at her face, and you can see she is definately 'and white' now :)

Still no color on those little paw pads!
photo 11/20/08
mmm, I am still not 100% sure, but I am thinking that she will have white on her face... Let's see what we see in next week's photos!

I just loooove her crazy, kinky, curly whiskers :)

So...there has not been much change in this little Peterbald kittens's coat or color.... She has lost a touch of hair, and I am thinking that I might be starting to see stripes on her tail, but...we'll see....
photo 10/31/08
...And, if you didn't notice, her nose is also still very pink, and so are her paw pads....
lol I guess we are just going to have to keep waiting!

Her eyes will be open tomorrow;
so you will be able to see by next weekend :)

<~~~~ See this photo? ~~~~~~
So, look at her left ear.
See how the color looks a little funny?
She will not be a 'solid' point.
Compare the photo from above the kitten from 10/23 to the one from 10/25
Seal point and white? Tortie Point? Or tortie point and white?
We will know in a few more weeks!
