STATUS: Niko has gone to his forever home ~
CONGRATULATIONS to his new family!!

The name Niko (NEE-ko) is the Finnish form of Nicholas, and means 'victory for the people'.
Born 9/2007
This little guy may yet end up a flock (chamois) coat adult, which is the 'hairless', suede-feeling coat that most think of when they think 'hairless' cat - but for now he is a light brush coat.
He is very precocious, and also very sweet.
We had considered keeping Niko as a show/breeder, but he did not develop into the stunning show boy we had anticipated.
He is very nice, but the life of a stud cat is not something that we commit to lightly - as the life of a pet is clearly better for the cat
(which, again, is why we retire our cats so young :) )
He is a Regional Winning kitten, very sweet and loving,
full of affection for everyone.

Yes, I know Nesha was too fast for the flash-less pic here, but I like Naji in the background too much to crop them out ;)

I believe this kitten is actually cream, and not red... But there are a lot of things about this little Peterbald that I really like.

photo 11/1

This little Peterbald kitten has a very distinct spotted tabby pattern.
And, yes, it will fade as he becomes an adult. Photo 11/1

See how much his profile is improving? And he also has a very distinct growth ridge at his forehead (see the bump above his eyes?), which means that his head should have a lot more lengthening to do!

This little one has lost a lot of coat as well. I do not think that he is likely to end up a brush coat, but he is more likely going to become a nice, chamois (flock) coat, 'hairless' adult Peterbald cat

The dip in the profile does not mean much at this age, in these lines. I have seen much deeper 'dips' become wonderfully straight profiles in Suetta's past kittens...so we'll have to wait and see!
photo 10/10

This is a funny photo, but I decided to use it because I love Niko's markings. His little golden crown, and all of his symmetrical spots down his sides; he is so cute! :)
